Using the body as a pattern, I marked out the top. And then cut it out. And like its big brother it need to trim down a bit. I may have said I wasn't going to do that again.....

I had to use some lacquer thinner and a razor blade to get the double sided tale adhesive off. As long as the grain is jumping, I might as well take some glamour shots. SR

Way to go! How do you even decide which one to play?

And, what’s next?!

Eenie meenie minie moe.

What's next is this little project over in the non guitar builds section.

That will keep me occupied for months and months.:)

This is serious stuff my friend !

These are so organic in a Catalan Modernistic kind of way ! Amazing work ! And that finish !!! How do you get such a good polish inside those scrolls ?

Not my style (I'm a lot more boringly predictable), but deeply impressed by the quality of your work.

Nice touch that signature carved volute of yours !

Cheers BD!

It is so good to hear from you again.

Getting inside the scroll is a special challenge. It mostly involves rolled little tubes of sandpaper and folding micromesh and sawing it back and forth like buffing your shoes.
